Why Mā Tori
Named with a nod to her New Zealand home and wearing the silver fern on her bows, Mā Tori is a Gary Lidgard–designed Fusion 40 — light, spacious, and set up for genuine shorthanded bluewater cruising. She isn't a marina queen: she has crossed to Fiji and back three seasons running, and every system aboard has earned its keep.
Proven offshore, not promised
NZ Cat 1 certified with three consecutive New Zealand–Fiji round trips. Passages, reef anchorages and trade-wind seasons — she's done the miles that matter.
Turnkey energy independence
700W of solar into a 540Ah lithium house bank, 2000W inverter, and an OceanF10 watermaker fitted in 2025. Anchor out for weeks, not days.
Refitted, not tired
Full refit and relaunch in 2022 with new sails the same year, Raymarine electronics and autopilot, Starlink and Iridium comms, and antifouling done May 2025.
